I mostly work with acrylic paints . I obtain that thick, frosting-like texture (referred to as "deep impasto") using mediums such as extra-heavy gel or molding paste. Deep Impasto painters sometimes use cake decorating techniques in their creative process. I sometimes use piping bags and spatulas!

My Inspiration
I am inspired by many artists, especially impressionists and surrealists. My favorite artist, however, is Van Gogh. Though impressionism was not appreciated in his time, it is one of the most popular styles today. His work inspired me to pick up a brush and palette knife.
